• Architected and developed Jivisha– Linux/J2EE/Spring based networking platform for medical fraternity with features like text/media blogging, photo/video sharing, texting, auto news aggregation etc – with a team of 6 members.
• Architected and developed Patient Management System (PMS). PMS is a desktop/web based application for Doctors to keep track of their in/out-bound patients, financials, communication, visiting hours etc. and is closely coupled with Jivisha for online publication, update, backup and interface consistency. It runs on inbuilt J2EE container and Hsqldb.

• Created vision, architected and developed Mywebdunia – Linux/J2EE based multi-language blogging and media sharing site which supports text/media blogging, photo galleries, pod-casting, video sharing, widgets etc. – with a team of 5 members. Mywebdunia ranks among top 1000 websites in India and was nominated for “The Manthan Awards 2008”
• Designed and developed WIOCLite – Java/Javascript based multi-language, multi-keyboard, pluggable input-output component for web/mobile/desktop applications – with a team of 4 members. WIOCLite is listed in “NASSCOM’s top 50 Innovators of 2008”

• Lead and co-developed Linux/Struts based full-fledged advertising solution which could define banner sections on pages and control/audit the ads displayed on them, and an Admin Module to control data update from CMS, menu hierarchy, portal’s theme and flow etc. for Indiatimes’ education portal EducationTimes. EducationTimes was awarded “Genius of the Web Awards 2007” as the “Best Education Site”
• Developed a Linux/J2EE/Struts based Asset Management System with 3 more members, which helped in managing, auditing and keeping track of assets, hardware, software and devices. It is put in use since then and helps manage 7 locations in India and US.
• Designed and developed Toronto Star Mobile News application. It is a J2ME/Brew based mobile application with J2EE based distributed content delivery server, and an Admin Panel to manage theme/flow and content syndication. This application was ported to more than 200 devices and subscribed by more than a million users.

• Developed multilingual image (png/wbmp) based Wap solution. It had Javascript based multilingual XML parser for Node management and data entry, and a Java Text-to-Image conversion engine which used font based data rendering on the image palette.
• Performed major feature enhancements in Time Warner Cable e-commerce application, for example, designed and implemented a calendar based resource availability matrix to help users check availability of a resource before logging in a complaint into the system, a database based flow manager to the existing structure to help administrators control the system flow, and various custom components for ad-hoc business rules integration.

This was a part time association, mainly an extension of my graduation work on Hindi Speech Synthesis and recognition.

• Evaluated and implemented various models, filters and algorithms in Neural Networks and Markov Models in Matlab 4.0. Published a paper on “Enhanced speech segmentation by variable sampling.”
• Implemented entire system with pre-recorded phonemes, and later assisted in porting the application to VC++ for a more native association with Windows machine.
