You said, it would be over

You said, it would be over
time will stay for a while
keeping a check until
Shadows’ shower
My pen was held back
perhaps for a glitter in the sky
or perhaps for a free, really free butterfly
And when it did
Fly in the sky
The ink had stained the shirt
wasted over trivial effort
Is it time to
move, or is it a sign to
hold on to?
My animals strut forward, fast
so damn fast
As if scared of the past
flutter of dust behind my cart wheel
rising on imminent nostalgia, then
falling apart like it is end of Halloween.
You said, it would be over
And when it did make sure, you said,
you are bathed and clean, under
Shadow’s shower.
Hi Animesh, I visited the site after a pretty long time and read this excellent piece from you. i just wonder what it takes from you to create such excellent stuff…
its beautiful
I liked the intro because of its rhythm, and also the transition from one character to another in the poem
very nice sir
